Thanksgiving 2011: The Freshman Experience

They say it's an experience like none other. You've been away for a while, the world has become your oyster, and you find it's time to come home. For some, it will be there first trip home during their collegiate career. For others, its a relief from the brief weekend escapes from campus. A time when friends and family come together and share food, fun, and memories of holidays from the past. But for the college freshman, Thanksgiving is a time to bring the new world to the old, and fill in those the matter the most with your new found freedom and life. That, for me dear world, was Thanksgiving 2011: The Freshman Experience.
My time at home was spent amazingly. Friends and family, food and fun. From Nov. 22nd until the 27th, I spend time with people I loved and cared for, filling them in of the parts of my life that they missed. In the time apart, people noticed that I have matured and come into my own. It was, simply put, the best holiday break of my short life. And Winter Break promises so much more.
